Organisations/Projects Selected for 2016
Disbursement Process:
1) Approved Organisations/Projects are invited to apply for funding.
2) Disbursement of StreetSmart funding happens annually.
3) Funded Organisations/Projects are required to give a detailed report on expenditure.
IN Cape Town StreetSmart funds will go towards:
Cape Town Multi Service Centre: R100,000.00 towards two aftercare teachers’ salaries, family reconstruction
worker salary, transport costs and fares for home visits.
Home from Home: Oceanview & Vrygrond: R100,000 towards a partial asistant foster mother's salary, family
reunification, foster mother training and therapeutic interventions for the children.
Learn to Live: R100,000.00 towards panel beating workshop skills training: a panel beating instructor salary;
Materials & tools for the workshop and fares for the youth to attend.
Ons Plek: R100,000.00 towards a social worker salary.
T.L.C. R80,000.00 towards auxiliary social worker and training facilitator salaries.
Zip Zap Circus: R40,000.00 towards the transport costs for children and youth to attend
2nd Chance circus training workshops.
IN Franschhoek StreetSmart funds will go towards:
The Kusasa Project: R100,000.00 towards social worker and auxiliary social worker salaries.
IN Stellenbosch StreetSmart funds will go towards:
Home from Home: Kayamandi & Cloetesville: R100,000.00 towards a partial assistant foster mother's salary,
family reunification, foster mother training and therapeutic interventions for the children.
IN Helderberg StreetSmart funds will go towards:
Thembalitsha Educare Grabouw: R60,000.00 towards training of ECD Teachers.
IN Swellendam StreetSmart funds will go towards:
The Bursary Fund: R40,000.00 towards further education of 10 scholars/students.
IN Johannesburg StreetSmart funds will go towards:
Kids Haven: R130,000.00 towards the salaries of the Bridging School Programme Facilitator and the Youth Manager.
IN Pretoria StreetSmart funds will go towards:
PEN Streetwise Project: R50,000.00 towards a social worker salary.
IN Plettenberg Bay StreetSmart funds will go towards:
Masizame Projects: R50,000.00 towards a reconstruction social auxiliary worker salary.
